偶然在電影台看見的片子因對JLo沒什麼好感，
所以這片子不甚吸引我
但實際看了之後，覺得劇情的鋪陳對話還頗有深度的
非常寫實貼切了描寫了上班族對於日復一日一成不變的生活的心情
現代的家庭關係，夫妻婚姻關係，
親子間的相處情況
印象最深刻的一段是約翰的妻子知道先生並不是有外遇而是去學跳舞
於是她約了徵信社偵探，請他結案
徵信社偵探對妻子其實很有好感，
於是兩人之間既曖昧又饒富深意的對話
談到了對婚姻的體悟，真的很精妙
特別從網路上找到原文，看來也有很多人認同這段對話經典之處

故事描述約翰柯拉克是個一向以事業為重的大律師，他擁有令人欣羨的工作，美麗的妻子，以及溫暖的家庭。然而在庸碌的工作與生活中，他總還是覺得缺少了些什麼；而每天下班經過的舞蹈教室裡，那個年輕美麗的舞蹈老師的眼神，總是讓他覺得好奇又迷戀。
有一晚，約翰臨時起意，決定加入舞蹈課程，並希望能藉此接近這位神秘的女老師寶琳娜。可惜天不從人願，約翰的指導老師並不是寶琳娜，笨拙的身手也讓自己在學習的過程中鬧出不少笑話，甚至終於有幸認識寶琳娜後，對方竟也只是冷冷地提醒他學習舞蹈應該保持嚴肅的精神，而拒絕與他課後約會。有趣的是，隨著課程的進度，約翰漸漸地發現自己對寶琳娜的好奇，已轉變為對舞蹈濃厚的熱情，更決心要參加芝加哥競爭最激烈的舞蹈大賽。同時，他和寶琳娜之間的友誼也逐漸萌芽，甚至重新燃起寶琳娜對舞蹈失去已久的熱忱。
